Golfers in Sheffield can get into the swing for the New Year with special passes for some of the city's top golf courses. 

Sheffield International Venues (SIV) is offering 10 and 20 round passes for players at its three courses in Sheffield and one course in Chesterfield. 

The passes, which are valid for a year after purchase, can be used at Tapton Park, Beauchief, Birley Wood and Tinsley Park courses.

Andy Carnall, SIV's golf manager, said: "The 10 and 20 round passes not only offer fantastic value for money, but they are a great way to introduce players to the sport, the courses and the facilities on offer at SIV.

"These passes, along with the pay and play opportunities and golfit membership scheme, provide people with a range of options when choosing a course. This means we are able to reach a wider range of golfers, from casual to serious players."

SIV offers four 18-hole golf courses, a nine-hole course, a pitch and putt course, and has professionals based at each course on hand to provide coaching for all ages and abilities, from adults and juniors players to beginners.

SIV's golfit membership scheme also provides members with unlimited access to four Fitness Unlimited venues - Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Concord Sports Centre, Hillsborough Leisure Centre and Don Valley Stadium.

The 10 round passes are priced at £129 and the 20 round passes cost £160
